The final decision to admit a non-citizen rests with the Immigration Officer after examination at the point of\u00a0entry in Mauritius. He\/she decides how long the person can stay for any particular visit.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-8e1e849 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"8e1e849\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-92d9f0c\" data-id=\"92d9f0c\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8aa7cb2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-accordion\" data-id=\"8aa7cb2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"accordion.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-accordion\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-1451\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"1\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-1451\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon elementor-accordion-icon-left\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon-closed\"><i class=\"fas fa-plus\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon-opened\"><i class=\"fas fa-minus\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-accordion-title\" tabindex=\"0\">Persons not requiring a Visa to enter Mauritius<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-1451\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"1\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1451\"><p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>The following are exempted from Visa Regulations:-<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true,\"type\":\"a\"} --><\/p>\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li>Citizens of Mauritius;<\/li>\n<li>Persons who are residents of Mauritius under the Immigration Act;<\/li>\n<li>The Spouse of a citizen of Mauritius;<\/li>\n<li>The child or step child or lawfully adopted child of persons referred to at (1) and (2) above;<\/li>\n<li>Holders of Diplomatic Passports\u00a0other than\u00a0those issued by the Government of Afghanistan, Iraq, Kosovo, Libya, Palestine State, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria and Yemen;<\/li>\n<li>Crew of a vessel travelling on duty or in transit to join another vessel;<\/li>\n<li>Holders of Laissez-passer issued by the United Nations, COMESA, SADC or other internationally recognized organizations;<\/li>\n<li>Holders of passport issued by the INTERPOL who come to Mauritius on official mission;<\/li>\n<li>Holders of Laissez-passer issued by the African Reinsurance Corporation and the African Development Bank Group in Respect of their directors, officers or employees travelling to Mauritius on official mission;<\/li>\n<li>Holders of passport issued by Governments of countries belonging to the European Union; and<\/li>\n<li>Persons who intend to remain in Mauritius only during the stay of a vessel by which they arrive and depart.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-1452\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-1452\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon elementor-accordion-icon-left\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon-closed\"><i class=\"fas fa-plus\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon-opened\"><i class=\"fas fa-minus\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-accordion-title\" tabindex=\"0\">Types of Visas<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-1452\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1452\"><p><u>Tourist Visa<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The tourist visa allows a non- citizen to visit Mauritius for a short time on vacation.<\/li>\n<li>The maximum period of (six) months may be granted in a calendar year on a case to case basis, subject to Immigration requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Business visa<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Business visa allows a non-citizen to travel to Mauritius for the purpose of establishing or conducting a business or investment.<\/li>\n<li>Businessman are entitled for a maximum of 120 days in a calendar year provided that during each trip the maximum stay does not exceed 90 days and that the non-citizen is not remunerated in Mauritius.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Social Visa<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Social visa is granted to non-citizens sponsored by socio-cultural organizations for a maximum period of 45 days to carry out social and religious activities.<\/li>\n<li>Non-citizens travelling to Mauritius for religious purposes should apply and obtain a social visa prior to travel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Multiple Entry Visa<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Granted only to foreign business persons having business interest in Mauritius and who needs a visa prior to travel.
