{"id":766,"date":"2021-03-18T11:56:22","date_gmt":"2021-03-18T11:56:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/goc2020.govmu.org\/passport\/?page_id=766"},"modified":"2021-04-06T10:40:50","modified_gmt":"2021-04-06T10:40:50","slug":"lost-or-stolen-passport","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/passport.govmu.org\/passport\/?page_id=766","title":{"rendered":"Lost, Stolen or Damaged Passport"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-page\" data-elementor-id=\"766\" class=\"elementor elementor-766\" data-elementor-post-type=\"page\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-455ba846 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"455ba846\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-6cec961f\" data-id=\"6cec961f\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d86fb0e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d86fb0e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n<p><strong><u>Application for a Mauritius passport in replacement of a lost, stolen or damaged passport<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>In order to avoid misuse of any lost or stolen passport, the following procedures should be strictly followed.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Any passport lost or stolen should be immediately reported to a Police Station in the\u00a0area it was lost \/ stolen.<\/li>\n<li>Declarant shall be issued with a \u201dDeclaration of Lost \/ Stolen Certificate\u201d,\u00a0which he\/she should\u00a0submit to the Passport Office on application for a new passport.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>Documents to be produced:-<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"\/passport\/?mdocs-posts=application-for-a-mauritius-passport\">Application Form ( PF136)<\/a> duly filled and signed by applicant and parents\/Guardian (where applicable);<\/li>\n<li>Birth Certificate of applicant;<\/li>\n<li>Birth Certificate of parents (where applicable);<\/li>\n<li>Mauritius National Identity Card of applicant;<\/li>\n<li>Mauritius National Identity Card of parents (where applicable);<\/li>\n<li>Marriage Certificate of applicant (where applicable);<\/li>\n<li>Marriage Certificate of parents (where applicable);<\/li>\n<li>Divorce Decree of applicant (where applicable);<\/li>\n<li>Certificate of Foreign Citizenship or Residence Permit Abroad of applicant (where applicable);<\/li>\n<li>Certificate of Foreign Citizenship or Residence Permit of parent(s) (where applicable);<\/li>\n<li>Certificate of Mauritius Citizenship of parent(s) (where applicable);<\/li>\n<li>Certificate of Mauritius Citizenship in case applicant acquired nationality through Registration \/ Naturalization \/ Adoption (where applicable);<\/li>\n<li>Two (2) recent identical photos (passport size) of applicant taken against a light background. For more details regarding standard of photo, <a href=\"\/passport\/?page_id=773\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">click<\/a>\u00a0here;<\/li>\n<li>Certificate from Police in case of loss\/stolen passport;<\/li>\n<li>A letter to give a brief report of how, where and when the passport was lost\/stolen\/damaged;<\/li>\n<li>The original Police report for the lost passport should include reference,\u00a0 signature and seal\/stamp of the Police Station<s>)<\/s> or a report made by the Embassy or High Commission of Mauritius;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Additional documents as applicable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>Where a passport, during its period of validity:-<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Is declared stolen, lost or damaged, or;<\/li>\n<li>Is found to be unusable due to tampering.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>The following fees are applicable on application for a new Passport:-<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On First lost \/ damage\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : Rs 5000<\/li>\n<li>On Second lost \/damage\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : Rs 15000<\/li>\n<li>On every subsequent loss : An additional and cumulative fee of Rs 15000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong><u>NOTE<\/u><\/strong><strong>\u00a0Any lost or stolen valid passport which has been reported lost or stolen should not be used for travelling unless authorized by the Passport and Immigration Office.<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Application for a Mauritius passport in replacement of a lost, stolen or damaged passport In order to avoid misuse of any lost or stolen passport, the following procedures should be strictly followed.
