The Government has decided that French nationals resident of REUNION ISLAND may  be allowed to come to Mauritius on the strength of their  valid French Identity Card as from 19 September 2022 until 30 June 2023 on the following conditions:-

(a)     This measure will apply only to French nationals residing in Reunion Island and traveling from Reunion Island for holiday purposes;(b)     The minimum stay should be for a period of  at least two (2) nights in Mauritius;

(c)     They should meet the usual immigration requirements in terms of return air tickets, sufficient financial means; confirmed accommodation arrangements as well as a travel  insurance;

(d)     They should on arrival produce their valid French Identity cards in lieu of their passports to the Immigration Officers at the point of entry and will be issued with an “Authorisation D’entrée”;

(e)     They should not engage in any gainful occupation during their stay;

(f)     It is advisable to fill in the  All in One Travel Form as is  in place for passports holders and;

(g)     They should present the landing permit to the Immigration Officers on their departure for Control purpose.
